Summary

Consumers are being ripped off by Credit Card Fees. Fees have increased in complexity and have risen much faster than inflation. Current fee disclosures are difficult to understand, bury important information, and do not adequately inform consumers.

Political Process

The Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations has recently held a hearing on this topic. /1/

Rep. Sanders has filed HR 3492, the Consumer Credit Card Protection Act to address these concerns in the 110th congress.
